Bellarine Peninsula & Geelong Wine Tours

We chose this operator because they pick up from the city. Trevor arrived on time and the other 5 occupants of the little bus let us sit in the front which meant we could hear Trevor’s most informative guided tour above their girlie chatter. Visited 5 wineries and had a lovely lunch although didn’t manage to get a seat at the correct side of the table with the ocean view. Trevor went out of his way to make our day full of information about both the wines being tasted and the history & geography of the Bellarine Peninsular. Thank you Trevor.

Another great tour with Wine Tours Victoria! This was our third, the first two with Richard who we missed out on seeing this time, he is a wonderful guide and so knowledgeable!
We were pleased with our new guide John, who was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable with a prompt pick up at our Hotel.
This time we opted for the Grapes & Grandeur Bellarine Peninsula, which took us to a beautiful wine region along with a trip back in time to the early days of settlement in Australia at Werribee Park. The day started with wine tasting at two lovely wineries in the morning then a delicious lunch at Terindah Vineyard where we met up with the other John and two apprentice guides. We learned lots more on the history of wine making in Victoria and the wine making process. We were told so much about wineries and were fascinated by everything we heard.
It’s fascinating to a Queenslander just how different the weather and landscape is in Victoria.
In the afternoon, our visit to Werribee Park, the magnificently restored Italianate style mansion, Victoria’s largest private residence, which was so amazing and our final vineyard Shadowfax!
Bellarine Peninsula was gorgeous and each of the three wineries we went to was beautiful and delicious! The vineyard staff at all the wineries were attentive and nice and we brought home several bottles of superb wines.
We highly recommend this company to anyone interested in a great day out. When we revisit the area we wouldn’t consider another tour company – Wine Tours Victoria is our go to wine tour company!

Best 2 wine tours I have experienced in Victoria!!. Visited the Bellarine Peninsula & Macedon Ranges. Food and wine were excellent and our drivers, Trevor and John were a wealth of local knowledge and the scenery was just stunning. Be sure to take your camera and get ready for an amazing day out. Oh, and the home made goodies for morning tea are just divine. Thanks guys for a wonderful experience. Love the benefits of small tour groups.

Our experience is limited to booking and paying in advance. Unfortunately, due to the vagaries of the web booking, our expected Bellarine Peninsular tour ended up as a Yarra Valley Tour on the day the bus arrived. Having been to Yarra valley twice and only a few months past we reluctantly cancelled on the day. The worst aspect is that we have had no contact from the company since, despite sending them feedback on our experience – not even an acknowledgement so we rate customer service low and can’t comment on the tour at all despite their claim to be the ‘only Melbourne wine tour company that visits the wineries near Melbourne in all four of Victoria’s key wine regions’.

We’re sorry to hear about this negative review, and we’ve reached out to Ian to see what we can do to turn his experience around. Unfortunately due to a computer glitch or human error his trip was booked incorrectly as a Yarra Valley Tour instead of a Bellarine Peninsula one, and once we had other confirmed paying guests on the trip we could not change it. We’ve improved systems since then to ensure things like this don’t happen again.

This is my fourth tour with Wine Tours Victoria – I wouldn’t go with anyone else now and once again I had just the best day out, this time on the Bellarine Peninsula. Second time we have toured with driver, John – love this man! And could not fault our lovely lunch at Terindah Estate. I like it too that we stop for morning tea at a scenic location before wine tasting begins. Lugged five bottles of wine back to New Zealand, from four estates – the hardest part is cellaring them for a couple of years when you know what’s in those bottles – great wine! A great tour with the loveliest of people. Super van too!

My wife & I joined another couple for great experience tour led by our wonderful guide Mel tasting the wine & food in the Bellarine wine region (just east of Geelong on the peninsula).

We visited 4 wineries (the two standouts were Scotchman’s Hill & Jack Rabbit) & had lunch at Jack Rabbit. All offered free flowing tastings & commentary.

Lunch was at Jack Rabbit & was another top experience in food taste.

Fantastic selection of wineries at a nice pace. The food at the lunch time was delicious. I would come again on the tour.
